QRS-18 Tracking Streamer

QRS-18 Tracking Streamer

Not going to lie: this tracking streamer is BIG. Whether you’re using it as primary recovery on a decent-sized mid-power or screaming down from apogee on a 54mm or 75mm powered beast, this streamer will get your project noticed! We use this to recover some K and L powered rockets from apogee.
The QRS-18 streamer is high power through and through. It features both the triple-thick shock cord tunnel as well as brass grommets for use with quick-clips or ties. Like the rest of our streamers, it is made from a single piece of durable, yet lightweight, ripstop Nylon. All hems are double-rolled; there are no exposed edges of fabric to fray.

QRS-18 packs very small for its unfurled size, but to ensure a nominal deployment, we recommend packing into a tube no smaller than 38mm without a pilot.

QRS-18 is suited for use as an apogee event on payloads recovering on anything from a BLS-42 up to the ALS-72 Advanced High-Power Main Canopy.  If using as an apogee event in a dual-deploy rocket (secondary recovery), we recommend a shock cord of at least 60′, with the streamer mounted at least 20′ from end. This will help ensure the main is deployed into clear air.
